Xolo, a subsidiary of Lava International, unveiled the
much-awaited new Black series smartphone in India on Friday, 10 July.
Xolo Black boasts top-of-the-line
hardware. It dons Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield on both sides with an
additional layer of oleophobic coating making the phone stain-and-smudge free.
Another notable feature of Xolo
Black is the main dual-camera on the rear side. Its 13mp camera is complemented
with an additional 2mp snapper to enhance photography experience.
The additional camera sensor
besides the main camera module of Xolo Black is used to capture detailed depth
information of the scene enabling user to re-focus objects on the photos, which
are already taken via ubiFocus application.
On the front, it houses 5mp camera
with smart LED flash to get good quality photos under low-light conditions.
Other stipulated features include
5.5-inch full HD screen, Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), Android
5.0 Lollipop with Hive UI, 2GB LPDDR 3 RAM, 16GB storage (expandable) and a
3,200mAh battery, which can power the phone for close to 735 hours under
standby mode.
The dual-SIM Xolo Black runs on Android
Lollipop based on the Hive Atlas OS. In terms of connectivity, the
smartphone includes 4G LTE connectivity, supporting both FDD-LTE Band 3
(1800MHz) and TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz); Micro-USB v2.0 with USB OTG
functionality; A-GPS; Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is backed by a 3200
mAh battery.
